Following a severe allergic reaction that left her entire face swollen, and doctors unable to pinpoint a cause, Habeeb went on a completely raw diet to get to the root of the issue. After 6 weeks of slowly implementing items back into rotation, gluten & dairy were discovered to be the main culprits prompting her to stick to an almost fully raw vegan lifestyle, oscillating back & forth between a little meat here and there to no meat at all. A couple years later she transitioned entirely to a whole food plant-based diet (WFPB) receiving a Plant-Based Nutrition Certification from Cornell University (her father’s alma mater) T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies.
